Your Assignment is Specific

My Dearest World Changer,
I recently had someone say that they didn’t think there was any evidence to say that each one of us has a specific calling only a general assignment commanded to all....
And then.....
Snowflakes began to fall out side of my window ......
Each one perfectly and intricately designed differently....
“You formed every bone in my body when you created me in the secret place, carefully, skilfully shaping me from nothing to something. You saw who you created me to be before I became me.”
Psalm 139:15-16
Passion Translation
And I thought....
“Why would the God who designed every single snowflake to be different create people who are all the same?”
Why would my father who speaks so intimately, clearly and lovingingly to me, not share the same sweet whispers to my brothers and sisters in the Lord....🤷♀️
“God is not holding any good thing back from you. He gets great joy and pleasure from being good to His children.”
Luke 12:32
God is always speaking....
In the stillness and splendour of the beauty of nature....
In the tiny smile lavishly upon your five year old....
In the quiet hum and sizzle of supper preparations...
In the dazzling show of a midnight sky.... ⭐️
Perhaps it is us who aren’t always listening?🤦♀️
Each time we align ourselves to His design we unravel beliefs, disruptive patterns and the “bad theology spoken by good people”.
The superhighways originally created in our minds must continually be brought into submission to the mind of Christ.
Ask yourself.....
Do I still have belief systems from my childhood that are unhealthily breathing instruction to my life that are incomplete or ungraced?
Do any of these sentences still pretend to be true in your mind?
“I exist to make others happy, my own happiness is not important”.
“Self care is selfish”.
“We can’t be wealthy, that’s only for those folks”.
“You are here to serve others as a humble servant regardless of how burned out you feel”.
“It’s not ok to make mistakes”.
You are not alone.
There is hope.
If you get your mind out of Egypt, your body will follow.
