Red pill or Blue Pill, Neo?

In the mind-bending 1999 movie, The Matrix, Morpheus offers Neo the choice of the red pill or blue pill. 

For those of you who have not seen the movie, (Gasp -go watch it dude!😂) taking the either pill appears to have its set backs. 

Neo thinks he lives in one world (like our earth). He is unaware of the different realms (first, second and third), until he encounters Morpheus. 

The blue pill would allow Neo to continue to live the bland, seemingly average life of computer programmer, Mr. Anderson. 

The red pill would open his eyes to see the truth of the real battle that ensues, and be offered an opportunity to conquer the unseen realm of “agents”, to make the world a better place. 

I propose that we as Christians have that choice. 

We can choose to see and live in the first heaven and ignore the demonic realm or the heavenly realm. 

When we choose to live from a third heaven mindset we experience a heavenly rest that comes from the assurance that in the end it will all be good. 

That victory is ours already in Christ! 

So if in the end we win, then why don’t many Christians enjoy earth right now? 

It’s a mindset shift. A seat shift. To live from the third heaven, one must understand the sheer joy of living from a place of beloved. We must also be aware of the demonic realities in the heavenly realms and overcome the temptation to live in first heaven.  

God raised us up with Christ and seated us with Him in the heavenly realms with Christ Jesus. 

Ephesians 2:6

He seated us in the heavenly realms with Him! So, I ask “where are you seated?”

You may say, “Well Coach Sheila, I am already a Christian and therefore I am already seated with Christ.”

Let’s examine this. 🤔

You may be saved but your life here on earth may not be seated in the heavenly realm. 😲

Allow me to explain. 

We have been seated as one with Christ. We are partners now with Christ. We colabour with Him. He he has given us the position to reign here on earth. 🔥

“So what does this mean Coach Sheila with regards to our prayer life and how we are to conduct ourselves practically day to day?”

Allow me to explain what first, second and third heaven living means. To really know where you are “seated” and if in fact it is in heavenly places. 

In Genesis 1:1,  God created the heavens and the earth. This is first heaven living. We have been created in an earth suit, our physical body and we experience the five senses in the natural realm. 

Like Neo in the Matrix, we are given the option of taking the blue pill (staying tapped into the chaos and crisis of the natural realm here on earth) or by receiving the red pill (acknowledgment of second and third heaven realities and taking a stand to usher heaven to earth). 

In the second heaven, where Satan rules (and let me state clearly that the demonic is not in heaven but in heavenly places ). In Ephesians 6:12, it reads “our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.  We acknowledge that their are evil forces in heavenly places. 

Third Heaven 

In 2 Cor 12:2-4 it reads: “ I know a man in Christ who 14 years ago,  whether in the body I do not know, or out of the body I do not know, God knows such a man was caught up to the third heaven. And I know how such a man, whether in the body or apart from the body I do not know, God knows, was caught up into paradise and I heard inexpressible words, which a man is not permitted to speak.”

In all this, the apostle Paul shares with us that there is a third heaven, two levels above the earthly realm and one level above the demonic realm. 

So how do I know which realm I operate in?

Since you are Christian who loved the Lord deeply, I’ll share symptoms of your seat in 

first and third heaven living. 

Symptoms of first heaven living:

1. You say you believe God for things but as soon as trials come you lapse into thinking “was I really called to this?” or similarly ineffective thinking, “Does God really love me?”
2. You are quick to abandon your highest calling and are tossed to and fro by every difficulty or shiny object syndrome. 
3. You lie awake at night worrying about life a lot. 
4. You have a victim mentality. 
5. Your prayer life is consumed with reaction to bad circumstances. 
6. Vision is absent from your life. 
7. You have not received your signature anointing, don’t see that your are a cultural architect, designed to shape nations. 
8. You have a poverty mentality. 
9. You have low self esteem 
10. You fall prey to jealousy, comparison, competition, striving and cannot rest. 

Symptoms of third heaven:

1. Trials are seen as proof of your highest calling being needed and you dive into partnering with heaven more fervently. 
2. You operate from rest not to “get rest”. 
3. Striving is a thing of the past, you implement your vision steadily, seeing devil encounters as proof that you are doing something worth challenging. 
4. You live with a 100 year game plan; working towards leaving a legacy for your children’s children. 
5. Your commission as a world changer positively affects your prayer life on your knees. 
6. You pray with God, not to God. 
7. You carry yourself like royalty, you know you are a king or queen and the beloved. 
8. You use the language of heaven with words of blessing, wealth, rich affirmation towards self and others. You speak in terms of what is happening now even if it hasn’t come to pass yet. 
9. You refuse to let the media, politics, world events affect  your heart, your mind or your actions. You continue to partner with heaven to see change, not fall prey to deception. 
10. You believe God for the impossible and think like He does. 

Wake up Neo!
